Dr Andries van Schalkwyk (also known as Dr Skully) graduated from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 1997. He started working in Canada in 2001 as a full service family practitioner in Kitimat, British Columbia. In 2007 he began practicing medical aesthetics and developed a special interest in the use of dermal fillers and neuromodulators (Botox and Dysport).
Dr Andries has been a faculty member of the Allergan Medical Institute for many years and has enjoyed sharing his skill and knowledge with new medical injectors.
In striving to combat the negative emotional expressions that define aging he has developed successful aesthetic practices in Cape Town , Vancouver, Terrace and Kitimat. Safe injection techniques, subtlety and injections with minimal discomfort are the qualities that have defined Dr Andries’s practice.
Dr Andries is happily married with two children. In his spare time he enjoys golf, tennis, snowboarding, wakeboarding and hiking with friends and family.
